Huntsville Water Utilities allows customers to have a MAXIMUM of two extensions per calendar year as long as specific criteria is met. The requirements are as follows:​ 

  • The person requesting the extension MUST be the primary or joint customer on the account.

  • If, a customer has previously had an extension in the past 12 months, regardless of calendar year, that was not honored, NO EXTENSION WILL BE GIVEN.

  • Requests must be made 24 hours in advance to avoid the $50.00 delinquency fee. Weekend request will not be monitored until normal business hours, please plan accordingly.

  • If a request is made on or after the 20th of the month, the customer will be required to pay the additional $50.00 delinquency fee, but will not be subject to disconnection of service if request is approved.​

Huntsville Water Utilities has the right to refuse any extension request. Your request IS NOT A GUARANTEE OF EXTENSION. You will receive an email from a representative of Huntsville Water Utilities regarding the outcome of your request. Please Contact our office for further information.
