Huntsville Water Utilities customers who are unable to pay their bill on time may request a billing extension to avoid additional penalties or service disconnection. Please note that a maximum of two extensions are permitted per calendar year, provided the initial extension terms are honored.

Extension requirements include:

- Eligibility: Only account holders may request an extension.
- Fees: Requests made by 4:00 PM on the 19th of the month may qualify for a $50.00 delinquency fee waiver. Requests made after this time will incur a $50.00 delinquency fee, though service will remain uninterrupted if terms are met.
- Business Hours: Requests submitted on weekends or after hours are processed on the next business day.
- Confirmation: Huntsville Water Utilities reserves the right to refuse any request. Extensions are not guaranteed until you receive confirmation via email or phone.
- Deadlines: All extension payments are due by 3:00 PM on the agreed-upon date.
